We'd like to thank you for your support during the bulb sale for the 2024 Tulip Festival. Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to achieve all that we have.

The Fête de la Tulipe 2024 took place from 29 March to 12 May under the theme ‘The countries of the world’.
We would like to thank you for your support during the 2024 Tulip Festival. Without your help, we would not have been able to achieve all that we did.
The new programme for the 2025 Tulip Festival will arrive a few weeks before the Festival.
Every year in spring, the town of Morges dresses up its most beautiful colours for the Tulip Festival, with more than 140,000 flowers and around 350 varieties of tulips. This magnificent festival is organised by the Morges Fleur du Léman association, which also organises the Dahlia Festival every year, from July to October.
The Association Morges Fleur du Léman would like to thank its sponsors for their support for this 2024 edition, without which it would not have been possible.

A huge THANK YOU to all of you for your presence and support at the 2024 Tulip Festival!
The Tulip Festival is over for this year 2024. We look forward to seeing you again next year in April 2025 to admire the Tulips.
However, we look forward to welcoming you to the Dahlia Festival in July 2024.
Tulip bulbs can currently be ordered from www.flowerbulbs.ch, with home delivery only in Switzerland at the end of September. Orders can be placed until the end of May, but you can also buy tuberous dahlia roots at the sale on 2 November 2024.

Access to the Festival
OUR INFORMATION POINT IS CLOSED MONDAY 6TH AND TUESDAY 7TH OF MAYThe association encourages you to come by public transport!
Train : 10 min walk from Morges station (1km) Boat : from Lausanne, Rolle, Nyon or Geneva

Please announce your arrival by email.
Car: Motorway Exit "Morges-Ouest", follow the signs to "Parc des Sports", car park in the town centre or undergroupd car park in the Halles area (next to the train station). Some car parks are free on Sundays.

Entrance
Access to the "Parc de l'Indépendance", the quays and the flower gardens is free of charge, as they are public parks.Nevertheless, the Tulip Festival is organised by the non-profit association Morges Fleur du Léman. Donations are welcome in the piggy banks provided for this purpose.
Accessibility
The entire site is accessible to people with reduced mobility. There are 3 accessible toilet blocks on either side of the park. Parking spaces are available by the swimming pool and in front of the Tourist Office (opposite the castle).The entire quayside to the Vertou Park is also barrier-free and several restaurants are accessible.

The Great Bulb Sale 2024 is over, but please join us for the next sale in 2025. We'll be back with the date of the next sale later.
Online bulb sales
60 varieties of bulbs will be on sale throughout the festival on the Samen Mauser website. A QR code can be found on the beds available for sale (in the park and in the city during the festival).Home delivery will only be available in Switzerland at the end of September, and orders can be placed until the end of May.

Thanks to an annual fee of CHF 30.-, become a member of the Association Morges Fleur du Léman (or CHF 50.- per couple). In return, you'll receive 10% off souvenirs during the Tulip Festival and 1 voucher for 4 tubers during the Dahlia Festival. You can register by email.

Volunteer
The association is always in need of hands for the maintenance of the flower beds on Thursday mornings with the town's gardeners, as well as for the chalet-boutique and the sale of lottery tickets. Please contact us by email if you are interested. Your help is welcome!In addition to our volunteers, we are looking for associations that could help us sell chains of lottery tickets. CHF 20.00 will be paid for each chain sold. If you are an association and you are interested, please contact us!

Find out how the Tulip Festival bulbs are planted
In January of the previous year of each Tulip Festival, the gardeners of the City of Morges draw up the plans for the beds between January and March, taking into account the flowering period of the varieties present in the same bed, so that it is homogeneous and successful.Competition for the design of flowerbeds: as part of a 2nd year course, the landscape gardening, horticulture and nursery apprentices of the Morges vocational training centre must each design a tulip bed. From the 100 creations of the apprentices, a jury selects a certain number of beds which will then be planted in the Parc de l'Indépendance. Two beds are also designed and planted by young people from Le Repuis and by employees of the Lavigny garden workshop, two associations for young people in difficulty or with disabilities.
April, during the festival: the City's employees study the beds to see if the compositions and assemblages they have created are a success or not. Each year, around 200 new varieties are chosen to present new flowers to visitors.
September-October of each year: the city gardeners start planting the tulip bulbs. First, they lay out the beds according to the plans. Then they remove the grass, plough the soil and level the beds. The bulbs are first placed with the future stem upwards and then buried to a depth of about three times the size of the bulb. Schools come to help the gardeners during the planting of the bulbs, so that they can learn about this exciting job.

The Morges Fleur du Léman association was awarded the VAUD AMBASSADEUR label in September 2023 for its two flower shows.
WORLD TULIP SOCIETY
The "World Tulip Society" is an association whose aim is to bring together all those involved with the tulip in parks and festivals around the world, as well as distributors and artists who have taken the flower as their model.
Every two years, the members of this association gather at the World Tulip Summit. This summit is an opportunity to discuss and celebrate the tulip and its history, and to forge links between the various players involved in the tulip theme.
The Morges Tulip Festival has been awarded the 2019 World Tulip Destination Worth Travelling For.
VAUD'S INTANGIBLE HERITAGE
Intangible heritage - or living traditions - encompasses oral traditions, customs, festivals and the skills and know-how of craftspeople.
SERAC's Heritage Unit manages the Cantonal Inventory of Intangible Heritage and supervises the work of the Cantonal Commission for Movable and Intangible Heritage (CCPMI). The CCPMI recommends grants from the Cantonal Movable and Intangible Heritage Fund and submits them to the Head of the Department of Culture, Infrastructure and Human Resources (DCIRH) for a decision.

MANIFESTATION-VERTE.CH
This is a platform offering recommendations and tools for organising an event in a sustainable way.
The current platform was created in 2017 from the merger of CI Manifestation Verte and ecosport.ch. CI Manifestation Verte was founded in 2006 by cantons and towns and focused on the theme of waste. Ecosport.ch was created in 2001 with the sponsorship of the federal offices and Swiss Olympic, and was dedicated to greater sustainability in sports events. Thanks to this merger, the platform has been able to bring together key skills and offer invaluable support to Swiss events of all kinds. The Summit Foundation supports the development of the platform in French-speaking Switzerland.
